A coloured zebra for Swatch

Domani non vi aspettate un "pesce d'Aprile" ma bensì una zebra... Una zebra??? Sì, in diverse città nel mondo (qui in Italia a Milano) si terrà lo Zebra Day, una specie di flash mob organizzato da Swatch per promuovere l'uscita della nuova collezione animalier per la Primavera/Estate 2011. Quindi non stupiamoci di vedere intorno al Madonnina tanti ragazzi travestiti da pupazzi a righe bianche e nere... La fantasia zebrata sarà solo la prima con cui si tingeranno i cinturini del modello Gent Original mentre il quadrante avrà colori shock; insomma una versione Swatch alla Andy Warhol... Ci piace!!!

Tomorrow is going to be an April fool's day with zebras... Zebras??? Yes, in different cities around the world (Milan for Italy) will be held the Zebra Day, a sort of flash mob organized by Swatch to promote the launch of the new animalier collection for Spring/Summer 2011. So, you don't be surprised by guys dressed up like zebras around the Milan's cathedral... The zebra print will just be the first for the strap of  the Gent Original model while the plastic case and the face will have shock colours; well, a collection inspired to Andy Warhol... We like it!!!

The power of a pair of socks

Con la Primavera sta arrivando il calduccio ed iniziano così gli arcaici dilemmi: "Che cosa mi metto???". Le nostre nonne direbbero di vestirci "a cipolla" ma secondo me c'è un altro espediente molto più recente e decisamente figo: i calzini a vista. Non importa la lunghezza (possono andare bene alla caviglia o sopra il ginocchio) nè le scarpe con cui si indossano (anche se la versione calzini + sandali è la mia preferita...) nè tanto meno il colore. Unica nota: assicurarsi che non siano bucati...

Spring means beautiful and warm days and so the archaic dilemmas start again:"What shall I wear???". Our grandmas would say to dress "like an onion" but in my opinion there's another way more up-to-date and absolutely cooler: uncovered socks. It doesn't matter the lenght (ankle or over-the-knee lenght are both good) the shoes you wear them with (even if my favourite version is socks + platform...) or the colour. Just one note: assure yourself they don't have holes...

Chi non si è innamorata della nuova pubblicità di Chanel con Keira Knightley??? Mai vista una ragazza con quel fascino; ti iptonizza... E vi dirò di più, anche il mio ragazzo, che ama le donne in carne, la trova super sexy. Non sarà mica per quella tutina di camoscio che le fascia il corpo alla perfezione? Secondo me sì! Beh credo che l'autunno prossimo saremo tutte favolosamente sexy perchè molti stilisti sembrano adorare le tute... Ma mica ci toccherà anche guidare una moto?!? 

Who didn't fall in love with the latest Chanel's commercial played by Keira Knightley??? I've never seen another girl with her charme; she hypnotizes you... And I'll tell you more, even by boyfriend, who loves shapely women, thinks she is super sexy. Could it  be for that snug suedè jumpsuit? I definitely think so! Well, I'm sure next fall we will all be absolutely sexy because lots of designers seem to adore jumpsuits... Shall we learn how to drive a motorbike?!?

Primavera significa cambio d'armadi... non la cosa più divertente al mondo! E poi non c'è mai abbastanza spazio per tutto; soprattutto per me che ho la mania di conservare le scarpe nella loro scatola originale... Scommetto è il sogno di tutte avere una cabina armadio come quella che Mr Big regala a Carrie!!! Se però Carrie è solo un personaggio di fantasia, ci sono delle vere donne che hanno la fortuna di avere dei guardaroba favolosi. Diamoci una sbirciatina...

Ammettiamolo. A tutte noi è capitato di ritoccare le foto con Photoshop: togli un brufolo qua, sistema i capelli di là, ecc.. Cose di piccolo conto che non stravolgono l'immagine ma che servono solo per renderla un pochino più caruccia. I ritoccatori di Victoria's Secret invece ne hanno fatte di tutti i colori! Prima è sparito un braccio a Marisa Miller, poi hanno fatto diventare quasi scheletriche le gambe di un'altra modella e infine hanno rimpicciolito in maniera assurda la vita di Candice Swanepoe. Andiamo ragazzi, oltre ad essere eticamente scorretti siete proprio incapaci come "photoshoppisti"!

We must admit it. We all have photoshopped some of our pics: erase a pimple here, fix your hair up, ecc... Just simples changes that make your photo better but don't distort it. On the other hand, the Victoria's Secret's retouchers made some real disasters! At first, they've removed an arm to Marisa Miller's photo, then they've made skeletal another model's legs and, at the end, they've made Candice Swanepoe's waist as large as her hands. Come on guys, not only ethically scorrects are you but also poor Photoshop retouchers!

Mi trovo a casina del mio adorabile fidanzato quindi per un giorno avevo deciso di lasciare perdere il mio blog e dedicarmi solo a lui. Vogue America wants Rihanna

L'ultima musicista ad essere apparsa sulla copertina di Vogue America era stata Lady Gaga appena un mesetto fa, ma credo che nessuno più di Rihanna si potesse meritare quella di Aprile... Oltre ad essere "illegalmente" bella, Rihanna ha uno stile davvero personalissimo, a metà tra l'avanguardia e il ghetto, che riassume perfettamente l'essenza della musica e dello stile del 21° secolo. Le mie amiche lo sanno già: IO LA AMO!!!

The last musician to be featured on the cover of Vogue America was Lady Gaga, just a month ago, but I think that no-one deserved more the April's cover than Rihanna... Not considering the fact that she is "illegally" beautiful, Rihanna has a really unique style, between the avanguard and the ghetto, that perfectly summarize the 21° century's music and fashion. My friends already know it: I LOVE HER!!!

Sembrava una maledizione: la più entusiasta delle fashion maniac circondata da maschietti. Povera Victoria! Chissà quanto avrebbe voluto una bimba da viziare e trasformare nella nuova Posh Beckham...  Così dopo Brooklyn, Romeo e Cruz scommetto non ci sperava nemmeno più; e invece, adesso, al quarto mese di gravidanza, può finalmente dirlo... E' una femminuccia! Sinceramente non so se essere felice per lei o preoccupata per la piccola...

It seemed a real curse: the most enthusiastic fashion maniac surrounded by baby boys. Poor Victoria! Who knows how much she would have wanted a baby girl to spoil and transform into the new Posh Beckham... I could have bet that she hadn't hold out much hope after Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz; but now, that she is  four months pregnant, she can say it... it's a girl! Honestly I don't know If I should be happy for her or be worried for the baby...

Ieri sera mi sono divertita come una matta alla festa in maschera!!! Io e le mie super amiche eravamo tutte travestite; chi più, chi meno... Come si può capire dalle foto io mi sono ispirata al film "Il cigno nero": è diventato una vera ossessione!!! E devo dire che sono davvero fiera di me per come è venuto il trucco... Ovviamente non ce l'avrei mai fatta senza il tutorial video di Michelle Phan. Grazie grazie grazie Michelle! Sei fantastica!

Yesterday I had so much fun at the masquerade party!!! My lovely friends and I, all wore sort of costumes... It's obvious, looking at the pictures, that my ispiration was "The black swan": I've become addicted to this movie!!! And I have to say that I'm really proud of myself because the make up was fantastic... Of course I'd never have done this without Michelle Phan's tutorial video. Thanks a lot, Michelle! You're great!

It's time for Jeremy Scott Swatches

Oggi in pochi portano più un orologio solo per sapere che ore sono, e anch'io rientro in questa lista. Ovviamente questa cosa non ha molto senso ma che volete, sono fatta così: gli orologi mi affascinano esteticamente da sempre perchè hanno un nonsochè di intelletuale mischiato con la pura bellezza del design. Di intellettuale Jeremy Scott non ha nulla (basta guardare i modelli realizzati per Adidas...) però i suoi orologi creati in collaborazione con Swatch sono da paura!!! Sono stati presentati in anteprima da Colette pochi giorni fa e si trovano in vendita da oggi... Credo sia l'ora di aggiungere un altro Swatch alla mia collezione... :-)

Today just few people wear watches just to know what's the time, and I am part of this group. Of course, this thing it's a nonsense but I am in that way: I've always loved watches because of their aesthetic that is a sort of mix of intellectual and design features. Jeremy Scott has nothing of intellectual (you have to have a look to his Adidas creations...) but his watches created with Swatch colloboration are stunning!!! They were showed in preview at Colette just few days ago and they are in stores from today... I think it's time to add another Swatch to my collection... :-)

Le sfilate Autunno/Inverno finiscono oggi e, come sempre, gli addetti ai lavori staranno spulciando i lookbook per individuare i grandi trend della prossima stagione (i miei arriverrano presto... :-) ). Ecco però, come assaggio, qualcosa che mi è saltato subito all'occhio: gli stessi identici pantaloni a righe proposti da 4 stilisti differenti. La domanda è legittima: chi copia chi???

The Autumn/Winter runways end today and fashion insiders, as usually, are flipping through the lookbooks in order to identify the next season's big trends (mine are coming soon... :-) ). But, as a preview, I'll show something that I've noticed: the same stripes pants on 4 different catwalks. It's a legitimate question: who copied who???

La festa delle donne mi ha ricordato che spesso le prime nemiche delle donne sono proprio le donne stesse... Se ci volessimo più bene tra di noi non vivremmo tutte meglio??? Dato che siamo in tema, vi consiglio di guardare assolutamente il film "Donne" di George Cukor del 1939: capolavoro di malignità femminile!!!
