Emeralds are a girl's best friend

Marylin diceva che i diamanti sono i migliori amici di una ragazza... beh, anche gli smeraldi a quanto sembra! Le pietre verdi sono infatti il grande trend dell'anno in fatto di gioielli: Kim Kardashian le indossa con una pochette scintillante dello stesso colore e un little black dress; Uma Thurman e Bianca Balti per risaltare gli abiti angelici scelti per l'apertura del Festival di Cannes. E se anche Angelina Jolie decide di puntare sugli smeraldi per la sua prima linea di gioielli (a scopo benefico ovviamente...) un motivo ci sarà!

Marylin said that diamonds are a girl's best friend... well, it seems emeralds, too! In fact, green rocks are the big trend of the year about jewellery: Kim Kardashian wears them with a sparkling clutch in the same colour and a LBD; Uma Thurman and Bianca Balti use them to bring out their angelic gowns for the opening of Cannes film festival. And there must be a good reason if even Angelina Jolie has choosen emeralds for her first jewellery line!

Dagli yacht alle crociere... ieri sera vi ho parlato dei miei scatti "ambientati" su di una lussuosissima imbarcazione, stamani della collezione Cruise ("crociera", per l'appunto..) di Chanel. Lagerfeld come al solito ci stupisce con show favolosi in location da sogno: l'anno scorso era stata Saint-Tropez, quest'anno Cap d'Antibes. E il front-row pullulava di star tutte firmate con la doppia C. Ecco qua le 3 star meglio vestite e i miei 5 look preferiti dalla sfilata...

From yachtes to cruises... last night I told you about my photo shooting "set" on a luxury boat, this morning about Chanel Cruise collection. Lagerfeld, as usually, amazed with his spectacular show in fairy tales location: last year was Saint-Tropez, this time Cap d'Antibes. Stasera ho realizzato il primo servizio fotografico del corso di Shooting. Tema: righe & fantasie. Il mio moodboard partiva dalla rivisitazione in chiave moderna del storia di Bonnie&Clyde. E questa volta la coppia di gangsters non girava a bordo di una Ford Fordor Deluxe Sedan ma bensì di uno yacht extralusso. E i soldi non erano veri dollari ma banconote del gioco "Hotel"... ah ah ah! Comunque devo ringraziare la mia graziosissima modella. Bene sei stata super!

This evening I made my first photoshooting for the Shooting course. Theme: stripes & patterns. My moodboard started from the revival of Bonnie&Clyde story. And this time the gangster couple doesn't ride on a Ford Fordor Deluxe Sedan but on a luxury yacht. And the money wasn't real but it comes from the boardgame "Hotel"... LOL!!!! Anyway I must say thanks to my lovely model. Bene, you were great!

A new Barbie in town...Foxy Barbie!

Da quando ho comprato un golfino fucsia da Zara qualche giorno fa mi sono subita immaginata una mise alla Barbie, ma non credevo che sarei mai arrivata a diventare io stessa una Barbie! Oggi mi sono vestita per andare a lezione e poi come mi capita spesso (sono estremamente vanesia...) ho fatto qualche foto con l'auto-scatto. Poteva finire lì se non fosse che facendo ricerche su Google riguardo a Barbie ho trovato una foto quasi identica al mio look... Da paura! Anche io sono una Barbie ora; Foxy Barbie!

Since I bought a fuchsia pullover at Zara few days ago I've thought to a Barbie-like look, but I didn't believe I could become a real Barbie! Today I got dressed for going to lesson and then as I usually do (I'm extremely vain...) I took some pics. But then, there was an unexpected surprise: surfing the Web I found a Barbie with an outfit almost identical to mine... So cool! Now I can say I'm a real Barbie; Foxy Barbie!

Forse non tutti lo conoscono, ma il Met Ball, il Galà organizzato dal Metropolitan Museum è davvero l'evento più modaiolo che ci sia, più ancora che gli Oscar e i Golden Globe... Solo la cremè-de-la-cremè vi partecipa e gli abiti sono sempre esagerati. Nel bene e nel male...

Maybe not everybody knows it, but the Met Ball, the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala is really the most fashionable event ever, more than Oscars and Golden Globes... Just the "cremè-de-la-cremè" can attend it and the outfits are always over the top. For better or for worse...
