What the hell is pied-de-poule?!?!?

Questo post lo devo dedicare alla mia amica Eleonora che, in quanto profana in fatto di moda, si  interrogava su che diavolo di tessuto fosse il pied-de-poule. Eccoti accontentata. In effetti, a patto di non essere imparentata coi Ferragamo (non è il mio caso) o una professoressa di merceologia tessile (nemmeno questo il mio caso), non è che questa fantasia sia fra le più conosciute. Di abiti a righe ne abbiamo avuti fin sopra i capelli quest'estate e i pois saranno tra i più visti quest'inverno. Ma il pied-de-poule? Solo le vere fashioniste hanno capito che vale la pena investire sul tessuto con le zampette di gallina. Lady Gaga per averlo in pendant con l'abito ci ha addirittura rivestito un pianoforte !!! Capito Ele???

I must dedicate this post to my friend Eleonora who doesn't know what the hell is pied-de-poule. So, this is for you! Well, if you're not from Ferragamo family (not my case) or you're not a professor of patterns (not my case too), it's not weird you haven't heard about it. Last summer was all about stripes and this winter seems will be all about pois. What about pied-de-poule? Just real fashionistas have understood that the texture with hen's feet  is a good investment. Don't you trust me? Lady Gaga covered even a whole piano with pied-de-poule just to match it with her dress!!!

I'm obsessed with... this book

Probabilmente chi è patita di moda come me dovrebbe fare riferimento al fatto che è in corso la settimana della moda milanese, ma c'è qualcos'altro che mi sta prendendo troppo in questi giorni...Un libro! In realtà non è soltanto un libro, è puro divertimento pagina dopo pagina. Lo sto letteralmente divorando e non vedo l'ora di finirlo per poi fare un confronto con il film. Fare il contrario non avrebbe senso. Mentre lo leggo mi immagino già Sarah Jessica Parker nelle vesti della protagonista Kate Reddy tutta indaffarata a barcamenarsi tra famiglia e lavoro. Non avrei visto attrice migliore di lei per quel ruolo: ironica, intelligente, schietta e anche sexy. Carrie Bradshaw rimarrà per sempre nei nostri cuori ma sono convinta che anche questa volta non rimarremo deluse... Parola di una fanatica di Sarah Jessica...

As everybody knows I am passionate fashion lover, so I should write about the current fashion week in Milan, but there's something else that is really keeping me busy... A book! Actually it's not just a book, it's just fun page after page. I'm literally devouring it and I can wait to finish it in order to watch the movie and make a comparison. The opposite thing wouldn't have any sense. While I'm reading  the book I feel like I can see Sarah Jessica Parker playing the role of Kate Reddy who is really messed-up dealing with the family and her job. I couldn't think someone better than Parker for this part: ironic, smart, honest and even sexy. Carrie Bradshaw will always stay in our hearts but I'm sure than we won't be disappointed by this charachter...Trust  a Sarah Jessica's fanatic...

Sarah Jessica Parker has a new "Mr. Big"

E' il sogno di ogni giovane stilista: vedere una propria creazione indossata da Sarah Jessica Parker. E se poi gli abiti cominciassero ad essere 2, e poi 3, e poi 4...??? Sarebbe come toccare il cielo con un dito! Ecco perchè Prabal Gurung, designer emergente di Singapore, si deve sentire proprio al Settimo cielo. La più amata delle fashioniste lo ha scelto come suo nuovo pupillo tanto che non c'è una premiere o un evento mondano a cui non presenzi senza indossare uno dei suoi modelli. Le prime avvisaglie di questo "nuovo amore" sono state in occasione del tour promozionale del nuovo film della Parker "I Don't Know How She Does It". 

It's the Dream of every new designer: "being worn" by Sarah Jessica Parker. What if she would chose you not just once, but 2 times, and 3 times, a 4 times??? It would be like touch the sky with a finger! That's why Prabal Gurung, new designer from Singapore, must be in the Seventh Heaven. The most loved fashionista has choosen him like her new pupil and there's no  premiere or social event she doesn't wear a Gurung's creation. First "symptoms" of this "new love story" came from the promotional tour of "I Don't Know How She Does It", SJP's new movie.

Poi è stata la volta dell'ospitata al "Late Show" di David Letterman" dove SJP indossava un meraviglioso completo in block-colours che sembrava rubato direttamente da una puntata di Sex&TheCity. Ma la consacrazione finale è arrivata per la Fashion Night Out di NY: ancora un abito firmato Prabal Gurung, ancora un sexy look alla Carrie Bradshaw. 

 Then there was "The Late Show" where Parker wore a stunning block-colours ensemble which seemed stolen from an episode of Sex&TheCity. But the final consecration came for NY Fashion Night Out: one more Prabal Gurung dress, one more sexy outfit so Carrie Bradshaw.
