What the hell is pied-de-poule?!?!?

Questo post lo devo dedicare alla mia amica Eleonora che, in quanto profana in fatto di moda, si  interrogava su che diavolo di tessuto fosse il pied-de-poule. Eccoti accontentata. In effetti, a patto di non essere imparentata coi Ferragamo (non è il mio caso) o una professoressa di merceologia tessile (nemmeno questo il mio caso), non è che questa fantasia sia fra le più conosciute. Di abiti a righe ne abbiamo avuti fin sopra i capelli quest'estate e i pois saranno tra i più visti quest'inverno. Ma il pied-de-poule? Solo le vere fashioniste hanno capito che vale la pena investire sul tessuto con le zampette di gallina. Lady Gaga per averlo in pendant con l'abito ci ha addirittura rivestito un pianoforte !!! Capito Ele???

I must dedicate this post to my friend Eleonora who doesn't know what the hell is pied-de-poule. So, this is for you! Well, if you're not from Ferragamo family (not my case) or you're not a professor of patterns (not my case too), it's not weird you haven't heard about it. Last summer was all about stripes and this winter seems will be all about pois. What about pied-de-poule? Just real fashionistas have understood that the texture with hen's feet  is a good investment. Don't you trust me? Lady Gaga covered even a whole piano with pied-de-poule just to match it with her dress!!!

Beyoncè è incinta. Questa, in pratica, è stata la notizia più chiaccherata della giornata (uragano Irene a parte...). La prima cosa che ho pensato è stata questa: "Che bello, presto avremo un'altra super stilosa e sexy mammina!!!". Non vedo l'ora di vedere come si evolverà il suo stile da vamp man mano che il suo pancino lieviterà... Non ho dubbi che sarà impeccabile come sempre: altre prima di lei ci hanno insegnato che la maternità può essere un periodo interessante per sperimentare con la moda spesso con risultati stupefacenti. Una su tutte? Heidi Klum anche detta la regina delle future mamme...

Beyoncè is pregnant. This, pratically, has been the news of the day (exept for the hurricane Irene...). My first thought was:" So cool, we're going to have another super stilish and sexy mommy!!!". I can't wait to see how her sense of style will evolve while her belly grows... I'm sure she'll be impeccable as always: other famous women, before her, have teached that maternity can be an interesting period to experiment with fashion and with stunning results. One over all? Heidi Klum a.k.a. the queen  of moms-to-be...

Cannes 2011: and the winner is... Gwen Stefani!

Tutti pensano che solo perchè il Festival di Cannes riguardi i film, le star più brillanti devono essere le attrici... Sbagliato! Se c'è una persona che con il suo stile ha sbaragliato tutta la concorrenza quella è Gwen Stefani. Non solo sui red carpet (dove ha indossato una tuta di Stella McCartney, una abito della sua linea L.A.M.B. e uno stupendo Armani Privè) ma anche nelle uscite in yatch: è sempre perfetta! E poi, vogliamo parlare del marito??? :-)

Everybody thinks that just because Cannes Festival is about movies, the most shining stars must be actresses... Wrong! If there's a person who has shocked for her tremendous style that's Gwen Stefani. Not just on red carpets (where she wore a Stella McCarteny's jumpsuit, a L.A.M.B. gown and a fantastic Armani Privé) but even on board of a yatch: she's always perfect! And then, shall we talk about her husband??? :-)

How to rock your underwear

Non so se è così anche per voi, ma sono arcistufa dei servizi di moda primaverili dedicati alla lingeriè. O meglio, sono arcistufa di vedere sempre gli stessi scatti: modelle eteree con biancheria dai colori pastello che ricreano un moderno stile bucolico. Che noia!!! Un po' di fantasia, per favore. E poi bisogna dire che nessuna ragazza sana di mente si comprerebbe mai dei completini cipria, pesca, beige, ecc.. a meno di non voler avere lo stesso appeal sessuale di Bridget Jones. Volete il nome di una che in fatto di underwear ha capito tutto? Gwen Stefani! I suoi reggiseni colorati a vista sono una figata... Io consiglierei alle riviste di moda di prendere spunto da lei per i prossimi numeri: quest'anno gli abiti trasparenti sono di gran moda e allora mettiamoci sotto un bel push-up shock! Altro che donne-angelo! Meglio le "cattive ragazze"...

I don't know if you're thinking the same but I'm really fed up about Spring photoshoots concerning with lingeriè. Well, I should say I'm really fed up to see always the same shoots: ethereal models with pale lingeriè who recreate a modern bucolic mood. What a bore!!! Could we have something more creative, please? And then we must admit that no-one would buy powder, peach, beige underwears unless you wanted to have the same sex appeal of Bridget Jones. Should I mention someone really cool about lingerie? Gwen Stefani! Her coloured bras are definitely hot... I would suggest to all fashion magazines to take inspiration from her: sheer outfits are an hit this year, so... why don't wear a shock push-up underneath? Forget angel-women! "Bad girls" are funnier...

Is Gwen Stefani a good L'Oréal model??? No doubt!

Quando ho visto questo video postato da un mio amico su Facebook ho pensato: "Chi può essere più azzeccata per una pubblicità di rossetti se non Gwen Stefani??". Credo di amarla da sempre...  Apprezzo immensamente le persone che sanno essere creative, stilose ma con una propria personalità. Lei è assolutamente unica e si è meritata a pieni voti di essere inserita nella mia lista di Fashion Icons... 

Ammetteo d'ispirarmi spesso a lei soprattutto quando scelgo qualcosa di scozzese, leopardato o a righe. O per l'appunto, quando opto per un trucco retrò. Il mio ragazzo avrà sentito un milione di volte questa frase: "Che ne dici del mio look alla Gwen Stefani??". Ormai l'ho tartassato talmente tanto che ogni volta che vede una sua foto on-line me la invia immediatamente via I-phone... This is B-A-N-A-N-A!!!

When I saw this video posted by a friend of mine on Facebook I thought: "Who can be more appropriate for a lipstick commercial than Gwen Stefani??". I think I have always loved her... I really appreciate people who are able to be creative, stylish but with a own personality. She is absolutely unique and she has deserved with no doubt to be insert in my Fashion Icons list... 

I must admit I'm often inspired by her especially when I choose something in tartan, leopard or stripes patterns. Or, in that case, when I use a retrò make up. My boyfriend has heard at least a million of times this question:"What do you think of my look alla Gwen Stefani??" At this point I've harassed him so much that everytime he sees on the Web a picture of Gwen he immediately sends it to me with his I-phone... This is B-A-N-A-N-A!!!
