You're gonna hear me roar!

"Roar", la nuova (graffiante) canzone di Katy Perry è uscita da soli pochi giorni e già non riesco a togliermela dalla testa! Intanto, nell'attesa che sia svelato il video, ecco una serie di capi ispirati al brano e, soprattutto, al look della copertina del singolo (che richiama tra l'altro quella di "Raw Power" di Iggy Pop...). Comunque, non ho ancora consultato l'oroscopo cinese ma si direbbe che sia l'anno della tigre, almeno stilisticamente... Quindi, siete pronte a ruggire?

While we're waiting for the video to be unveiled, here it is a selection of garments ispired by the single cover (which also reminds the one of "Raw Power" played by Iggy Pop...). I haven't checked the Chinese horoscope yet but it seems to be the tiger's year, at least referring to fashion trends... So, are you ready to roar?

Domani non è soltanto il giorno delle tanto attese nozze di Kate Moss e del principe Alberto ma è anche l'inizio ufficiale dei saldi estivi! Yuppi Yuppi! Per evitare spese folli e scellerate io ho già adocchiato quelli che saranno i trend autunnali, e se volete un consiglio buttatevi sui vestiti floreali. Sì sembrerà anche strano ma questa fantasia tanto primaverile quest'anno è stata talmente surclassata dalle righe che doveva per forza prendersi una rivincita. Quindi il prossimo autunno/inverno sarà tutto uno sbocciar di rose, peonie ecc. Sempre meglio delle foglie secche...

To avoid crazy purchases, I've just taken a look to the next season's trends and if you need an advice I suggest you to buy floral dresses. Yes, I know it seems weird but a so-Spring pattern this year has been outclassed by stripes, so a revenge could have been possible. Then in few months it will be just about roses, peonies, ecc. Certainly better than dry leaves...

Uma Thurman for Schweppes... just sparkling!!!

Scommetto che anche voi, nel bene o nel male, siete rimasti colpiti dalla nuova pubblicità della Schweppes che ha come protagonista Uma Thurman... Diciamocelo, la pubblicità in sè per sè è davvero una cavolata, anzi, direi piuttosto pacchiana, però sono stata letteralmente rapita dal look della Thurman. Sarà che come Quentin Tarantino anch'io la considero una dea ma la sua immagine nello spot è davvero formidabile. Tutti quei bracciali, il gigantesco fiore nei capelli, il trucco un po' da drag queen... MEMORABILE!!!

I could bet that even you, for better or for worse, were shocked by the new Schweppes commercial with Uma Thurman.. We must admit, the commercial's story is really silly, well, I'd better say tacky, but Uma Thurman's look ravished me. It's not because I consider her a goddes, like Quentin Tarantino does, but her image is fantastic. All those bangles, the giant flower in her hair, the drag queen-like make up... MEMORABLE!!!

Yellow: the new white

Tra i grandi trend estivi non si fa che parlare di colori fluo; turchese, smeraldo, fucsia ecc però, a parte che sulle riviste patinate, queste tinte non si vedono molto addosso alle persone normali. Sarà che le donne adorano da sempre i non colori (nero su tutti) perchè sono sobri, eleganti e facili da abbinare. Però che noia!!! Io consiglierei un "compromesso stilistico" per essere alla moda ma non rinunciare al proprio modo di essere... il giallo, e in particolare la tonalità più pallida. Un colore solare ma senza rischio di accecare!

Fluo colours are among the big trends of this summer; turquoise, emerald, fuchsia ecc but, apart from fashion magazines, these hues are still not so used by real people. Maybe because women have always loved neutral colours (black over all): they're sober, elegant and easy to match. But what a bore!!! I'd suggest a "stylish compromise" for being up-to-date but not renounce to your own style... yellow, especially a pale hue. A sunny colour but without the blinding risk!
